  1. Each character has a colored garage on their minimap that lets you keep the cars. I am not referring to the garages by their homes, but color-coded garages on the map.

  2. aekDropSoup: what do you mean 'buy' the garage? I'm on Trevor trying to save a vehicle in the orange garage but when I enter it there is no 'buy' option, also when ever I leave a vehicle in the garage it just sits there, then I tested if when it exploded if it would still be there an it's gone.

Heres what I have tested myself, so far Idk about cars you get on the street, but I KNOW that if you get the characters car, such as Trevors beat up truck or Frankys nice looking car or bike, adn you customize them, the customization will stay with the vehicle and itll always respawn, may take some time if you wreck it but it will respawn, I spent a lot of money customizing Frankys car and Ive left it random places and destroyed it and it always comes back.

It is true that if you upgrade their original vehicles the upgrades stay (this includes Micheal's wifes car as well as his daughters (I know this because I did it)) As for saving your car forever there is no way to do such. If you lose it, you lose it, so take care with your vehicle. Also sometimes if you park your car in the garage outside your hideout it will sometimes disappear. If you blow up your car it is gone. There is no magical save car button in the game, so be careful with your vehicle because wrecking them is a giant waste of money.

  6. Michael's garage is in Vinewood, Franklin's garage in Grove Street, and Trevor's garage is in Pillbox Hill (check map for a garage icon when the respective character is active). They are not necessarily nearby the safe houses. All garages cost $30,000 and can hold up to 4 vehicles. The "purchase this garage" option will trigger when the character approaches the garage door, and will ask you to push "Right" on the D-Pad twice to confirm the purchase. NOTE: Make sure you are out of the vehicle when approaching to purchase for the first time, as the cut-scene of the purchase causes your car to sometimes disappear. Hopefully this helps.

  7. I don't know what's up with you guys and saying the garages cost money. I had all 3 unlocked as soon as the characters were available. I never spent a dime to use them.

  8. I bought a car (Entity FX) as Micheal and drove it just past a block then changed character (Franklin) and finished a side mission. Then I switched back to Micheal and *poof*, the f***ing car is gone. I can't find it anywhere (Garage, Impound, everywhere). Just don't buy any cars yet.
